I am happy to announce the release of SkyBlueCanvas v1.1 RC1 (Release Candidate 1). This release coincides very nicely with the 10,000th download of SkyBlueCanvas. This is a very exciting time for us because we are all very happy with the new enhancements to SkyBlueCanvas and with the traction we have gained in the Lightweight Open Source CMS niche.

We are still in testing on the new version so there will be some bugs. We believe, however, that all the major bugs have been fixed and the new system seems to be very stable. The only exception is related to PHP v4.x compatibility. We have been doing our development in PHP v5 so we missed a couple of issues with PHP v4.x. We will resolve these issues before we release a stable version.

The official stable release is scheduled for February 1, 2009, however, if testing goes well, we could release the stable version a couple of weeks earlier.
